HISTORY
The Officina Meccanica Trafficanti, OMT (Fabbrica Viterie), was born in 1988 from the homonymous tiny hamlet of Costa Serina, in the Brembana valley.
The first horizontal press produced fastening systems, namely screws, pins and solid and blind rivets for forniture and furnishing accessories industry, by means of cold deformation of steel wires.
Later in 1994, the first proper production plant was built in the industrial area of Brembate di Sopra. Today it covers an area of 10.000 square meters and it is equipped with prestigious machinery and sophisticated automatic process control systems.
In 2002, OMT Fabbrica Viterie made its first entrance into the automotive industry.
A fastening system appears as an apparently "low-value" product.
Still, in the past thirty years from foundation, nobody in OMT has ever thought or considered it as a product less worthy of scrupulous attention.
Supported by this awareness, every year OMT produces hundreds of millions of fasteners with increased competence and the same unchanged accuracy.
